Setting goals is wonderful and does serve a purpose, but they often depend on willpower and motivation, which can be a struggle for many of us. We know how to set goals. We usually know what's required to achieve them. But a problem for many is executing the smaller aspects of these goals on a daily basis. Because of this, most people lose sight of or "fail" at achieving their goal, and in turn, this leaves them with a negative impact on their self-esteem, may cause limiting beliefs and may deter motivation to pursue future hopes and ambitions.
Habit Stacking is about adding new daily practices into our lives. They require less willpower but still move us towards our medium or long-term goals without requiring major lifestyle shifts. It's great to have a big picture in mind but don't forget to focus on the smaller day-to-day tasks that are just as, if not more, important in moving you closer to your goal or desired state.
